To make people better aware of the complicated environmental
issues of today, the Japan Environment Association (JEA) creates
and distributes pamphlets and other materials explaining environmental
problems plainly, and lends out videos and films, and operates the
environment Society and Environment Learning Club on membership systems.
The JEA creates newsletters, pamphlets and supplementary materials explaining environmental problems, selling and distributing these materials at a minimal cost or free-of-charge. The JEA lends out videos and films for use in lectures, training seminars, and school classes, either free of charge or at the cost of distributing the material. �@
��Environment Society (for Businesses and Organizations) This society is operated on a membership system intended for businesses and organizations who are concerned about environmental issues, with the object of supporting its member's environmental activities. It holds lecture meetings to dealing with the latest topics and makes study tours to factories or equipments coping with environmental problems. It also distributes official materials from Ministry of the Environment and other materials to its members periodically. ��Environment Learning Club (for Individuals)�@ This club is operated on an individual membership system. The club provides information on environmental problems, environmental education and learning three times a year. �@
The Ministry of the Environment and the JEA annually invite the public to join a drawing contest for the White Paper on the Environment and the Sound Material-Cycle Society Cover Page Illustration. The prizewinning drawings of the contest are used on the cover page of the year�fs white paper on the Environment and the Sound Material-Cycle Society and a publicity poster on the year�fs Environment Month. �@��The 2007 prizewinning drawings
